ABOUT THE SOCIETY

The DLH Horticultural Society was created out of a shared vision to enable local people to meet together to:-

  • share gardening experiences.

  • learn new techniques from visiting experts and

  • enjoy working together to organise plant sales, shows and visits.

We have retained this vision and attracted a loyal membership. We welcome new members from all backgrounds with skill levels ranging from novice to expert.

For further information, please contact Cathryn Frost, either by phone (01629 534066) or by email (cathryn.frost@w3z.co.uk).

THE DLHHS Planter located at the Florence Nightingale Hall - An update from Jane Ward:

The acer ...called Sangokuku.....is beginning to take on its Autumn colouring.
The bark also changes colour to rich red.
The silver leaves are Brunnera...Jack Frost ....they will die back and regrow in Spring along with long stems of bright blue flowers like ‘forget-me-nots’.
The Winter Pansies will keep company with the ivy,the ground campanula and lots of Spring bulbs beneath the soil!
